This week’s construction update
Wailuku Parking Structure:
The Hawaiian Dredging crews are continuing to pour additional sections of the ground floor concrete pavement. The HDCC and CMC crews also completed the installation of reinforcing steel and post tensioning cables for a portion of the second-floor concrete deck this past week.

Vineyard Street Improvements:
The MIRA crews commenced with the installation of the new sewer system on Vineyard Street between Church and High Street this past week. The Hawaiian Telcom crews also continued to install their underground wires for Church and Lower Vineyard Street. Hawaiian Electric crews also converted electrical service from overhead to underground for two buildings Vineyard Street this past week.

General Notices:
Due to the ongoing work on Vineyard Street, motorists and pedestrians should be cautious when traversing through the area. Vineyard Street between Church and High Street will be closed to thru traffic Monday to Friday between the hours of 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
The Wailuku Parking lot is completely closed. Parking is available in various locations, as well as free shuttle service on Da Bee (includes parking at Maui Lani Safeway, Wells Park and War Memorial Stadium Parking Lot) and various “flower” stops in Wailuku.
