Whether it’s a show at the historic Iao Theater, a dance performance at MAPA, live music, or checking out artists in their studios or streetscapes, Wailuku Town is your place to get artsy. See what’s happening or, better still, get creative with us.

Small Town * Big Art

Throughout Wailuku Town, local and national artists are putting their creative stamp with stunning murals on buildings in an effort to rejuvenate downtown as a cultural district. This collaboration effort between the National Endowment Arts, County of Maui and the Maui Historical Society is part of NEA’s signature creative place-making program, “Our Town,” that supports partnerships of artists, arts organizations, and municipal government to revitalize neighborhoods.

SMALL TOWN * BIG ART will be conducted over three phases between 2018-2020. Click here to see the artwork, their locations and the artists’ statements.
